The Anchorage Wolverines will play their first home games of the season this weekend, facing off against the Janesville Jets for the first time this year. Both Friday and Saturday’s games will take place at the Ben Boeke Ice Arena at 7 p.m. AKDT.
Last season the Wolverines had a record of 3-2-2 against the Jets, who finished fifth place in the Midwest division, just shy of a playoff berth. Anchorage sits in sixth place going into this weekend, but are riding a big wave of momentum after a weekend sweep of Fairbanks two weeks ago. Janesville started the year hot, but have lost five of their last seven leading up to their first trip to the Last Frontier this season.
Tickets for both games are able to be purchased now at anchoragewolverines.com, or at the door while availability remains. For those not able to attend the game in-person, the contest will be able to be watched live on HockeyTV.com.
