Feb 7, 2023

Anchorage, Alaska | 2/8/23 | Isaac Smoldon

The Anchorage Wolverines head to Eagle River Wisconsin this week, as they prepare to play the Wisconsin Windigo for the final time in the 2022-23 regular season. The Wolverines have a record of 2-3-0 against the Windigo this year, with three games taking place in Anchorage and two in Wisconsin.

Anchorage is coming off a tough weekend against the Springfield Jr. Blues, losing two out of three games to their opponents. The Windigo conversely, swept the first place Minnesota Wilderness this past weekend, and have improved to third in the Midwest division. They are currently the hottest team in the Midwest with a record of 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.

While the Wolverines attempt to snap Wisconsin’s hot streak and continue the fight for a playoff spot, the Windigo look to continue their climb up the standings. Thursday’s game starts at 4 p.m. AKST, while Friday’s will begin an hour earlier, at 3 p.m. AKST. Both games are available to watch exclusively on HockeyTV.
