Wolverines Lose Sunday to Minnesota

The Anchorage Wolverines lost by a score of 3-1 to the Minnesota Wilderness on Sunday night, playing their sixth game in 10 days. The Wolverines still have yet to beat the Wilderness this season, as following Sunday’s game their record against Minnesota is 0-2-2. Anchorage now has a weekend off, before traveling to Kenai for their next two games.

Sunday’s game was a quiet affair, with the Wolverines only scoring one goal on the night. Minnesota scored a goal in both the 1st and 2nd period, and skated into the 3rd up by two. Anchorage’s lone goal came from David Tolan, with the Wolverines’ forward scoring 11 seconds into the final frame. Minnesota responded five minutes later to regain their two-goal lead however, and Anchorage wouldn’t score for the remainder of the contest, losing by a score of 3-1.

The Wolverines have four games remaining in the month of November, two against the Kenai River Brown Bears on the 18th and the 19th, and two against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs on the 25th and the 26th. All four games are on the road and start at 7:30 AKST, with fans able to watch the Wolverines live broadcast by selecting the AWAY feed on HockeyTV.
