Wolverines Lose at Home Against Wisconsin

The Anchorage Wolverines lost by four goals against the Wisconsin Windigo Friday night, managing just three goals to Wisconsin’s seven. The Wolverines play the Windigo twice more this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday.

Anchorage scored the first two goals of the game, with Layten Liffrig scoring a shorthanded goal five-and-a-half minutes in, and Aiden Westin potting a goal late in the frame to make it 2-0. Wisconsin responded by scoring four unanswered goals over the course of the 2nd period Despite Westin tacking on his second of the night in the 3rd, the Windigo’s offense stayed hot, and they scored three more goals in the final frame to win by a score of 7-3.

Anchorage and Wisconsin will play each other twice more this weekend, Saturday at 7 p.m. AKDT and Sunday at 4 p.m. AKDT. Tickets for both games are available now on anchoragewolverines.com, and as always all games are available to watch live on HockeyTV.
