JANESVILLE, WI — The Wolverines took flight while the Jets were grounded in tonight’s 7–4 win in Janesville.
The Bydal brothers continue to impress, combining for five goals and seven points.
They set the tone early; Rylan Bydal fed Luc Bydal at the near-side faceoff dot, and Luc buried it bar-down to open the scoring.
The Jets answered back with two goals before the first intermission and struck again just 50 seconds into the second.
Luc responded less than a minute later, burying a setup from Landon Greenough.
Anchorage’s penalty kill continues to be a concern, as the Jets capitalized twice on the man advantage.
With the Wolverines trailing 4–2, Luc completed his hat trick. Rylan then tied the game with under a minute left in the second before netting the game-winner 12 minutes into the final frame.
Anchorage locals and returning veterans Cole Frawner and Greenough capped off the third-period surge, sealing the Wolverines’ 7–4 victory.
The two teams will close the series tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. AKST, the final matchup before Anchorage returns home for opening weekend, October 9–11. Catch tomorrow’s action live on NAHLtv.com, and secure your opening weekend tickets at tickets.anchoragewolverines.com.
