The Anchorage Wolverines swept the Minnesota Magicians in the last weekend of the regular season, winning Saturday by a final score of 5-1. Aiden Westin tallied three more points in the contest, ending the weekend with four goals and four assists. Shane Soderwall was in between the pipes for the Wolverines and made an impressive 25 saves on 26 shots, backstopping the Anchorage win.

With the two points earned from Saturday’s victory, the Wolverines jump to third place in the Midwest division, and will be playing the Springfield Jr. Blues in the first round of the Robertson Cup Playoffs. Anchorage holds a record of 2-3-1 in its six games played against the Jr. Blues this season, and will have to travel to Springfield this week for the first games of the series.
