Wisconsin Windigo Takes Game Three

Wisconsin Windigo managed to take game three from the Anchorage Wolverines with a final score of 3-2.

Vaughn Makar made his first appearance of the season tonight, after almost 8 months of recovering from a knee injury. The goaltender logged 30 saves on 33 shots on net, according to the NAHL.

Oliver Salo clocked an early goal for the Wolverines, finding the back of the net at the 3:46 minute marker. The Windigo tallied two goals within the first period, leaving the ice for the first intermission up 2-1.

Trent Powell evened the game in the second, assisted by Feddy Nikolayenya and Bryce Monrean.

The game stayed tied until the last five minutes of the game, when Jacob Jastrzebski beat the defence and secured the game winning goal for Wisconsin.

The Anchorage Wolverines will enjoy their off weekend, after playing three weeks at home. They will return to The Ben November 10th and 11th to face off against the Fairbanks Ice dogs.
