You just had to be here! The Wolverines continue to dominate, tacking on their fifth win in a row after a 4-3 barnburner.

After a scoreless first frame, Arvega Hovsepyan grabbed the first goal of the night in the fourth minute of the second period.

Chippewa leveled the score before the second ended and continued to find the back of the net two more times in the third, turning the score to 3-1, and dwindling Anchorage’s plan on taking game two.

Oliver Salo began Anchorage’s redemption run at 11:24 in the final frame, hitting a bar down goal and bringing the Wolverines to a one-point gap.

From then on, the Wolverines couldn’t be stopped.

After the puck went free in Anchorage’s zone, Cole (Gole) Frawner recovered the puck and put one over the goaltenders right shoulder from the red line, equalizing the score and securing his first ever NAHL goal.

With only 44 seconds left on the clock, Oliver Salo ran the puck into Chippewa’s zone and sent a centering pass that Kade Shea capitalized on with a back door game-winning-goal.

Off the ice, Wolverines Nation showed OUT. Not only was the energy electric, we raised $24,800 just TONIGHT for the Providence Children’s Hospital. We are so proud to have such a great fanbase, we’ll see you again tomorrow for the final game of the Chippewa Steel vs. Anchorage Wolverines series.
