This week, our forward Fedya Nikalayenya was named the NAHL Midwest Division Star of the Week.
Nikalayenya briefly led the NAHL in points, now ranking 11th with six goals and two assists through five games.
Though the season just started, Nikalayenya has played a vital role in the team’s success thus far. He has put up a point in every game played this season and secured a hat trick against the Rochester Jr. Americans.
This is Nikalayenya’s second season in Anchorage, playing a total of 47 games throughout the past two seasons; tallying 16 goals and 22 assists, for a total of 38 points for the Anchorage Wolverines.
This is the second time Nikalayenya has been awarded NAHL Star of the Week, the first time being in December of the 2022-23 season.
Next year, Nikalayenya will be moving even further north to continue his education and hockey career at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
