Anchorage, Alaska | 4/14/22 | Isaac Smoldon

The Anchorage Wolverines are two points closer to making the Midwest Division playoffs after beating the Minnesota Magicians by a score of 7-3. Anchorage’s offense came from a diverse array of players, as Cameron Morris and Aiden Westin lead the team in scoring with four and three points respectively. Raythan Robbins backstopped the win with 29 saves on 32 shots, and the Anchorage powerplay scored twice in the contest ending the night two for three.

With the win, the Wolverines sit three points ahead of the fifth place Janesville Jets, who will need to sweep the weekend to have a chance to make the playoffs. Anchorage will secure a playoff berth with a win tomorrow or a Janesville loss.

The Wolverines will play the Magicians twice more this weekend, on Friday and Saturday at 7PM AKST. Both games will take place at the Ben Boeke Ice Arena, with tickets available at anchoragewolverines.com or at the door 30 minutes prior to puck drop.
