ANCHORAGE, AK — Anchorage Wolverines assistant captain and two-year veteran Sam Evert has committed to continue his hockey career at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), where he will play NCAA Division III hockey in his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

“Congratulations to Sam on his commitment to play college hockey,” said Anchorage Wolverines General Manager Merit Waldrop. “This is something he has earned through his hard work, dedication, and willingness to improve every day.”

Evert leaves Anchorage leaving a lasting impression on the organization. Over 126 games with the Wolverines, the 2005-born forward recorded 35 goals and 67 assists for 102 career points, serving as a consistent offensive contributor and leader on and off the ice.

“We’re proud of everything he’s accomplished during his time with our organization and excited to see what’s next for him,” Waldrop said. “We appreciate everything Sam has brought to our team and wish him nothing but success at the next level.”

Evert will join an MSOE Raiders program coming off a 10-14-3 overall record and a 7-8-3 mark in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) play during the 2025-26 season.

“I would like to thank the Anchorage Wolverines organization, along with my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for their support in making this possible,” Evert said. “Go Raiders!”
