The Anchorage Wolverines failed to win game three as the Minnesota Wilderness take home their first win of the postseason.

Whether the travel got to the team, or they weren’t prepared to play in a different arena, one thing was clear – they didn’t give the show Wolverines Nation is used to seeing.

The Wilderness took an early lead, bagging their first goal just four minutes into the contest. They then grabbed three more throughout the game, two coming in the second frame and their final goal on an empty net with just over three minutes left on the clock.

The Wolverines reinstated goal tender Liam Beerman after the Wilderness’ quick empty netter.

With a Wilderness player in the box, Kade Shea was able to put the Wolverines on the board in the 18th minute, but it was too little too late.

The Wilderness seemed to skate around the Wolverines tonight, with the majority of the puck being played in the Wolverines zone and the NAHL reporting the Wilderness having 39 shots on net compared to the Wolverines 33.

With tonight’s loss, game four will be played tomorrow with another 4:15pm AKST puck drop. Watch exclusively through nahltv.com.
