The Anchorage Wolverines continue to dominate with tonight’s 3-2 shootout win, marking their seventh straight victory.

Romulus Riego de Dios opened the game with an early unassisted goal coming in with just 47 seconds off the clock.

The contest went without another goal until six minutes into the second frame, when Samuel Sisik leveled the score for the Kenai River Brown Bears.

Arvega Hovsepyan responded five minutes later, capitalizing off an assist from Jackson Stimple and bringing the lead back to the Wolverines.

Kenai River’s Kotaro Tsutsumi found the equalizer with just under 12 minutes on the clock, with the Wolverines unable to pull ahead, the game was forced into overtime.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net through the five-minute sudden death overtime, resulting in the Wolverines fourth shootout of the season.

Liam Beerman stood between the pipes tonight for the Wolverines, and completely shut the Brown Bears down in the shootout; denying four of four attempts.

The Wolverines went through three shooters before Arvega Hovsepyan drained the game-winning-goal.
