Anchorage Wolverines Announce 2023-2024 Season Schedule

Jul 6, 2023

The NAHL has released the schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 regular season as the Anchorage Wolverines begin looking ahead to their third year of junior hockey. The 60-game schedule will see the Wolverines play their out-of-state opponents a variable number of games, with the Wisconsin Windigo facing off against Anchorage only five times during the regular season, while the Janesville Jets will play eight games versus the Wolverines. The Minnesota Wilderness and Springfield Jr. Blues will see Anchorage six times next season, and the Chippewa Steel will have seven contests with the Wolverines. The season begins on September 9th against Minnesota with the four-game NAHL showcase taking place the following week, September 13th-16th.

After winning the Club 49 Cup this past season, Anchorage is hungry to repeat and once again claim the title of top Alaskan team. Just like the previous season the Wolverines will play 12 games against the Kenai River Brown Bears, and another 12 against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. Unlike last year, the Wolverines’ games against the Kenai River Brown Bears will be played with each team splitting home ice for the weekend, meaning more weekends with Wolverines hockey to watch. The season ends with six out of the last eight games taking place against Fairbanks, meaning that Anchorage’s most intense rivalry will have that much more on the line to cap off the regular season.

Season tickets will be available for purchase shortly. Be sure to pay attention to the Wolverines’ social media and website for updates as they become available. In addition, there are positions open for families interested in billeting Wolverines’ players this upcoming season.
