The Anchorage Wolverines are playoff bound following their win against the Minnesota Magicians on Friday night. Anchorage won by a score of 5-2, with Raythan Robbins putting up 40 saves on 42 shots in the win. The Wolverines grabbed a lead that they would never relinquish just one minute and 50 seconds into the game, when Cameron Morris fired a shot over the shoulder of Josh Seeley. Talon Sigurdson was the first star of the game scoring his 37th goal of the season just three minutes into the 1st, and Aiden Westin recorded two more points in the contest tallying a goal and an assist.

With the win, Anchorage secures their place in the Robertson Cup Playoffs, jumping to third in the Midwest division. They will either play the Fairbanks Ice Dogs or the Springfield Jr. Blues in the first round, depending on the results of tomorrow’s games.

The Wolverines play their last game of the regular season on Saturday, at 7PM AKST at the Ben. During the game the team will be auctioning off the home jerseys of players from to Alaska, while the out-of-state jersey auction continues on our website.
