Anchorage, Alaska | 10/27/22 | Isaac Smoldon
The Anchorage Wolverines will play the Wisconsin Windigo for the first time this season in a three-game series on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Wolverines are excited to announce that its Premier Partner, Alaska Airlines, is the title host for the weekend. Friday and Saturday’s games will start at 7 p.m. AKDT and Sunday’s game will take place at 4 p.m. AKDT.
The Wolverines come into this weekend’s slate of games after splitting their home-opening series against the Janesville Jets last Friday and Saturday. They currently sit in sixth place in the Midwest division, but have a record of 3-1-0 since returning to the State of Alaska. They had a 5-2-0 record against the Windigo’s previous iteration, the Minnesota Magicians, in the 2021-22 regular season. Wisconsin currently sits in last place in the Midwest division, and are 2-7-1 in their last 10 games.
Aside from the excitement on the ice, the Wolverines are also hosting a Spooktacular Halloween fan event on Sunday. The first 50 costumes to show up at the door starting at 6:00pm get in free! We are also hosting a costume content and a Spooky Skate with the Wolverines immediately after the game.
Tickets for all three games are able to be purchased now at tickets.anchoragewolverines.com, or at the door while availability remains. For those not able to attend the game in-person, the contest will be able to be watched live on HockeyTV.com.
