The Anchorage Wolverines will play their last in-state games of 2023 this weekend, Friday and Saturday against the Kenai River Brown Bears. The Wolverines remain unbeaten against Kenai River so far this season, boasting a 4-0-0 record against the Brown Bears.

The Wolverines are first in the Club 49 Cup standings, currently holding 10 points ahead of Fairbanks’s eight, and Kenai River’s three. The Brown Bears have lost their last four games, including a pair against the Ice Dogs last weekend. Anchorage has won their last two games, which were against Kenai River two weeks ago. The Wolverines also come into this weekend well rested, after getting Thanksgiving weekend off, and they hold a huge amount of games in hand against the other teams of the Midwest before a busy December and January.

Friday’s game is in Soldotna, with puck drop at 7:30 p.m. AKST. The last home game of 2023 will take place on Saturday at the Ben at 7:00 p.m. AKST. Tickets for Saturday’s game can be purchased now at tickets.anchoragewolverines.com. Both games will also be available live and on-demand exclusively on nahltv.com.
