Anchorage Wolverines announce Fire & Ice Night for September 11 exhibition game

ANCHORAGE, AK — September 11, 2026, will be a night of hockey, honor, and remembrance as the Anchorage Wolverines pay tribute to the lives lost and the heroes who served and sacrificed on September 11, 2001.

The Anchorage Fire Department will join the Wolverines at Sullivan Arena for the exhibition game between the U.S. National Team Development Program (NTDP) U17 and the Anchorage Wolverines on Friday, September 11.

A fire engine will be stationed outside the Sullivan Arena entrance, giving fans the opportunity to meet and talk with local firefighters and take photos with the truck and first responders.

The evening will also feature a special tribute during the first intermission, honoring the lives lost and the heroes of September 11, 2001.

The September 11 exhibition game is part of a special two-game weekend featuring the Anchorage Wolverines and the U.S. NTDP U17 at Sullivan Arena.
